Book Blitz & Giveaway: Fluffy by Julia Kent (Adult Comedy Romance)

Fluffy
Julia Kent
Publication date: April 30th 2019
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance
An all-new STANDALONE from New York Times bestselling author Julia Kent
It all started with the wrong Help Wanted ad. Of course it did.
I’m a professional fluffer. It’s NOT what you think. I stage homes for a living. Real estate agents love me, and my work stands on its own merits.
Sigh. Get your mind out of the gutter. Go ahead. Laugh. I’ll wait.
See? That’s the problem. My career has used the term “fluffer” for decades. I didn’t even know there was a more… lascivious definition of the term.
Until it was too late.
The ad for a “professional fluffer” on Craigslist seemed like divine intervention. My last unemployment check was in the bank. I was desperate. Rent was due. The ad said cash paid at the end of the day.
The perfect job!
Staging homes means showing your best angle. The same principle applies in making a certain kind of movie. Turns out a “fluffer” doesn’t arrange decorative pillows on a couch.
They arrange other soft, round-ish objects.
The job isn’t hard. Er, I mean, it is — it’s about being hard. Or, well… helping other people to be hard.
Oh, man…
And that’s the other problem. A man. No, not one of the stars on the movie set. Will Lotham – my high school crush. The owner of the house where we’re filming. Illegally. In a vacation rental.
By the time the cops show up, what I thought was just a great house staging gig turned into a nightmare involving pictures of me with an undressed naked star, Will rescuing me from an arrest, and a humiliating lesson in my own naivete.
My job turned out to be so much harder than I expected. But you know what’s easier than I ever imagined?
Having all my dreams come true.
EXCERPT:
“Do you use the proper terms for everything, Mallory?” He makes an inarticulate sound as I peel the gauze off the cut, wiping gently. “You call your pretty place a vulva, right? And you use the word vagina.”
“’Pretty place’?”
He shrugs.
“And yes, I do. Vulva and vagina. And then there’s the clitoris,” I say primly.
“What’s that?”
“What’s what?”
“A clitoris. Never heard of it.”
I freeze and look down at him. Bright eyes meet mine. Is he serious?
“The clitoris is a nerve cluster above the opening to the vagina,” I begin, taking a breath to continue my impromptu human sexuality lecture, because when a man tells you they don’t know what a clitoris is, you educate them immediately.
For the sisterhood. All the women Will is going to sleep with from here on out will thank me later.
He starts to laugh. I’m so tempted to pour the small bottle of isopropyl alcohol directly on his wound, but I’m a kind, compassionate woman, so instead I dab it on with a swab.
“OW!” he bellows.
“Sorry.”
“You’re not sorry at all.”
“I’m sorry for your sex partners that you have no idea what a clitoris is, Will.”
“I know what it is. And my tongue knows how to find one. Blindfolded.”
“Why would you blindfold your tongue?”

LAST DAY: FREE Book: The Similayer Project Part One by Magen McMinimy, S.L. Dearing, Jax Walsh & Jean Michaels - Free on 4/26 & 4/27

A deadly pandemic. Five groups of survivors. One destination.

A deadly virus born of good intentions ravages the planet, leaving humans on the bottom of the food chain as the infected mutate into creatures born of myth and nightmares.

As the military sets out to gather the healthy inside the walls of a biolab located in the central United States, the fight for survival begins for anyone willing to step beyond the safety of their own front door.

Follow five groups of survivors as they journey from California, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, and Massachusetts in an epic journey to find, not only what’s left of their government, but their independence, true love, and the strength to survive in a world bent on breaking them.

Similayer Project Day 1:

The team landed in Antarctica at 0700 hours. Even the summer months in the vast frigid continent were bitter.

“Get your gear and move,” Jake Cooper, ordered. The lieutenant wasn’t sure how he ended up on the edge of the South Pole in the middle of January, leading a group of fifteen scientists and doctors from all over the world. However he’d learned long ago not to ask questions. He took orders like a good soldier. With packs in hand, the bay doors released letting the glacial winds whip through the interior of the plane. The bitter cold sucked the air from their lungs pushing them to scramble for safety.

Jake watched as the diverse group rushed towards the steel door of the research lab. With a shake of his head he started down the ramp to follow.

The facility door flew open, offering shelter to the group as they hurried up the short set of steps into the futuristic looking research lab and testing facility.

“Cooper, you made it.”

Jake offered a dip of his chin as he got the first glimpse of the man he once called a fellow soldier who had worked his way through the ranks and was now his superior. There was still camaraderie between the two and he would always look to Burke as a brother. Although Jake was the lily white to Burke’s mocha skin, he was just as much family to him as the little sister he left back home. Two tours overseas brought the most unlikely of individuals together.

“Is this your doing, Major?”

Burke shook his head as Jake cleared the last step and the heavy door slammed behind him.

“Perhaps, a few weeks ago General Manroe brought me in on a ‘hypothetical’ mission, next thing I know he’s calling in the men I said I would want if it were me leading the ops, and here we are.”

“What is the mission, Major? That group was pretty tight lipped on the eighteen hour flight over here.” He nodded towards the scientists and doctors, shucking their heavy coats as a much smaller group of white coats greeted them.

Burke arched a brow. “We’re here to save the planet.”

UNSEEN DANGER AND SECRET PLANS.

We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival. -Winston Churchill

After months of traveling, loss, and desperation, the survivors have found sanctuary in one of the last remaining government run facilities. Settling into the comfort and safety the heavily guarded walls provide, new friendships are formed, loved ones are reunited, and a semblance of the lives they once knew begins to wipe away pieces of the nightmares they’ve endured.

But, there are no guarantees in this world.

As the walls of their new home begin to close in on them and people begin to disappear, some start to question what lies beyond the restricted areas of the multilevel lab.

While unravelling the secrets that surround them, the survivors must decide between the potential threat among them or the danger beyond the walls.

FOLLOW THE SURVIVORS AS THEY STAGE THE FINAL FIGHT IN A WORLD BENT ON DESTROYING THEM.

Release Blitz & Giveaway: Desperately Seeking Roommate by Micalea Smeltzer (Romantic Comedy)

Title: Desperately Seeking Roommate
Author: Micalea Smeltzer
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: April 26, 2019

WANTED: A ROOMMATE
Requirements
 1.     Don’t be a smoker. That’s gross.
2.     Don’t be a jerk. I have no time to deal with your mood swings.
3.     Clean up after yourself. Is it really so hard to put dirty clothes where they belong?
If you meet these qualifications, call me.
Sincerely,
Desperately Seeking Roommate

When I put the ad in my university’s newspaper, the last thing I ever expect is for the star football player to respond.
From what I know of him, Abel Russo is a womanizer and an absolute jerk.
Sadly, he’s the only thing stopping me from being evicted by my annoyingly gleeful landlord.
It should be easy enough—there’s no chance we’ll fall for each other. But then he gives me lingering looks, and I might just be looking back.
All I wanted was a roommate, but I’m about to get so much more than I bargained for.

Excerpt

Abel’s lips turn up but he doesn’t take his eyes off the road. “Like what you see, Blondie?”
My cheeks redden at being caught, but I stick my chin haughtily into the air unwilling to cower at being called out. “Maybe there’s a bug on your face.”
That smile of his widens. “There’s not.”
“So confident,” I mutter, crossing my arms over my chest and staring out the windshield.
“Why wouldn’t I be? You kissed me.”
“I kissed you back, big difference.” I kick my flip-flops off and rest my bare feet on the dashboard.
“Kissing back is still kissing.”
“Ugh,” I toss my hands up, “you’re impossible.”
“Impossibly handsome? Charming? Irresistible? All three? Definitely all three.” He answers his own question.

Don’t ask me how many, I don’t remember at this point. I have an unhealthy addiction to Diet Coke but I can’t seem to break the habit. I listen to way too much music and hedgehogs have taken over my life. Crazy is the word that best sums up my life, but it’s the good kind of crazy and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
