Author: Katherine McIntyre
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Jev was looking for an
adventure, however she wanted the usual variety of stomping out nasty fae in
the city as an enforcer of the Philly Coven. Instead, handsome as sin Liam
O'Reilly shows up on her doorstep dropping news of the worst organization of
fae they'd dealt with on the rise again. Except, he's a traitor, an asshole,
and the absolute last person she wants to work with.
However, the longer they work together, the more the fire between them burns, turning from rage and irritation into something primal. And as she gets to know the real Liam O'Reilly behind the charming smiles and sexy lines, he becomes so much deadlier. Because the protective, self-sacrificing man underneath his facade is just the sort she could fall for.

Author Bio
A modern
day Renaissance-woman, Katherine McIntyre has learned soapmaking, beer brewing,
tea blending, and most recently roasting coffee. Most of which make sure she’s
hydrated and bathed while she spends the rest of her time writing. With a
desire to travel and more imagination than she knows what to do with, all the
stories jumping around in her head led to the logical route of jotting them
down on paper. She writes novels with snarky women, ragtag crews, and guys with
bad attitudes. High chances for a passionate speech thrown into the mix.

Book Excerpt
A knock sounded on her door, snapping her to attention. She hopped out
of her seat and over to her room to slip on pants, then tugged her tumbles of
wavy hair into a ponytail. “Who is it?” she called out, hoping whoever stood on
the other side could hear.
“Liam,” his low voice came from outside. Her heart sped up, since her
body was a traitor to whatever the hell she’d been trying to convince herself
of. Jev let out a sigh, hoping her flush hadn’t reached her cheeks. With
Destrius on the loose though, she wouldn’t trust any voice she heard, not
without being able to confirm it. A witch’s best tool in her arsenal was
preparedness, another reason she appreciated the forced Girl Scout time her mom
had put her through as a kid.
Jev placed her hand on the knob. “How do I know it’s you?”
“Because I know what you sound like when you come,” came the teasing
reply.
Any jitters she’d been feeling died at that, and she tossed the door
open with a hand on her hip. Liam stood on the porch in her alley, a stupid
smirk on his face and eyes dancing with amusement.
“You’re a laugh riot,” she said, rolling her eyes. “Come on in, and I’ll
throw on some real clothes. That”—she paused, pointing at him and leveling him
with a look—“wasn’t an invitation for some ‘or take them off’ comment.”
“I wouldn’t dare.” Liam took on a tone of mock innocence and lifted his
hands in defense. Even though his cockiness boiled her blood, she couldn’t deny
the thrill of attraction that fluttered through her the moment she saw him on
her doorstep. While she might slum it in a ragged old tank top and yoga pants,
he made jeans and a faded carmine tee look like a fashion statement due to the
state of pressed cleanliness he kept his clothes in. Matter of fact, his
apartment had been the same. Jev snorted as she nudged a stray pile of papers
out of her walking path and cleared off the couple of books cluttering her love
seat.
Before she got out the words “make yourself comfortable,” Mr.
Presumptuous already had. To make it worse, D’Artagnan slunk up and nuzzled
Liam’s hand in greeting before climbing up beside him.
“Traitor,” Jev whispered to her cat as she maneuvered past stacks of
books and random clutter to her bedroom.
