Is the world ready for its new master?

This is the first book I've read from Jackie Sonnenberg, and I'll be sure to check out more of her work.

The Lamb Was Sure to Go is a great adventure into horror. I knew twist on the story of the Anti-Christ!! Sonnenberg creates a visually stunning world of the macabre. Wonderful descriptions and incredibly complex characters, that run the gambit of hero to villain, but in the most unsettling ways.

The reader is taken from adoration to loathing and back again. We are left wondering if the hero is the hero and the villain is the villain as Sonnenberg toys with our emotions.

I really enjoyed this book. The style is easy and has the right amount of imagery, while the characters are multi-leveled, and frightening. I loved the use of the child's verse as the inspration for this book, and the solid connection to the subject matter.
