For fans of Stranger Things comes a suspenseful YA mystery about a missing kid, a girl who can see ghosts, and a horrifying crime only four outcasts have the power to stop.

What if the only person who could help you find your missing brother was dead?

Nothing is as important to sixteen-year-old Shiloh Oleson as her little brother Max. So when the six-year-old goes missing without a trace, a heartbroken Shiloh refuses to believe nothing can be done and sets out to find him.

When one of Shiloh’s classmates says she knows where Max is, Shiloh hesitates to believe her. Francesca is creepy. She says she can see ghosts, but everyone knows ghosts aren’t real … right?

But Francesca says that Max is going to be murdered.

And a ghost told her where he is.

As the line between the dead and living begins to blur, Shiloh starts to think Francesca might not be as crazy as she believed. One thing is becoming clear. Someone has gruesome plans for Max, and Shiloh must confront her worst nightmares to find him before it’s too late.

THEY STAY is the first book in the They Stay Series. Read on if you like ghost stories, plot twists, enemies-to-friends, creepy circuses, budding romance, and unlikely heroes.

Content Warnings: This book contains death, kidnapping, domestic abuse, references to suicide, bullying, and mild adult language.

They Stay by Claire Fraise is a great start to a new supernatural series. She paints a vivid picture of the world that Shiloh lives in. She's a character we are rooting for and I enjoyed following her journey, from pained beginnings through adventure and torment. Fraise does a great job at giving us an array of additional characters, etched flawed and glorious in their own right.
The basis of the plot is an interesting take on the paranormal genre, and I enjoyed the Leo of this world she has created. The book is written in first person present, and is done fairy well. There were moments where I was taken out of the story via dialogue, and I'm not a huge fane of the first person present narrative, but over all this is a solid book with suspense, and intensity. I give it 4 stars and I definitely recommend!

Claire Fraise earned her B.A. in English from Tufts University. Excerpt

I needed a vacation.

That was the headline that blasted across my thoughts as I stared at the note that had been so carefully placed on my counter. I was supposed to be going on a teensy getaway with Bishop. After the bullshit we’d gone through over the last few days, taking some time off had seemed paramount. Taking a brief pause from my contemplation, I found my shirt and yanked it back on before continuing my internal deliberation.

As I stared at the cardstock, the devil on my shoulder was making a solid case for ignoring literally everything in my life, packing a bag, and hightailing it to some undiscovered corner of the map with no cell service which could only be accessed by boat. At this point, I was considering moving into a yurt or something just to not have to deal with the utter shitshow that had become my life.

Angel Darby began arguing in favor of staying to find my psychopath of a brother, while Devil Darby was still painting pictures of Bishop and me wearing very little clothing in a hut on the beach, sipping Mai Tais. I had to admit, Devil Darby was winning that fight, hands-down. And what did the line “Your mother can’t protect you anymore” mean?

As far as I knew—and that wasn’t much when it came to Mariana, but still—she hadn’t done a damn thing to protect me a day in her life. This damn note was a taunt—a dare. And I didn’t like it one bit.

Without much thought on my part, I yanked a paper towel from the holder and picked up the note to inspect it. There wasn’t a damn clue to be had on the thing, at least not to my naked eye.

You know that means you could just pretend you never saw it, right? Just drop it like a hot potato and scamper off to a cabin in the woods with Bishop.

See? Devil Darby had a solid plan.

And what happens when X doesn’t just stop at notes? Then it’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre time with a side of Halloweenfor dessert.

And there was Angel Darby coming in for the buzzkill.

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Generation of Vipers by Maria Ann Green (Adult Gothic Psychological Thriller)

Generation of Vipers
Maria Ann Green
Publication date: June 18th, 2021
Genres: Adult, Gothic, Psychological, Thriller

Rosabella Moore-Davis has just moved her husband halfway across the world, with a spur of the moment purchase–a glorious gothic mansion–while on vacation in France. It was love at first sight, and somehow she knew it was more than just some huge house; it was meant to be her home.

But not all things that are meant to be end happily ever after.

Rosabella soon finds herself waking in the middle of the night from more than just wind and creaking pipes. In the dark she discovers ghostly figures looking up into her windows from outside, rooms and treasures previously hidden for centuries, creeping crawling guests, and too many dark shadows lunging toward her. And still, somehow, instead of screaming and running away she researches, choosing knowledge over fear, and learns more about the house and the history of this place she loves so much.

Only when she stumbles into the past, meeting an aristocrat hiding enough deadly secrets to take down the patriarchy, does Rosabella start to regret her choices. And after having come this far, she worries it’s too late to turn back and save herself from a house that has more skeletons in its vast amount of closet space than anyone expected.

Rosabella isn’t the fleeing type, but she’s not sure she’ll survive the fight. Especially against a place with so many stories buried beneath it, burned into every fiber of the edifice, a house with a portal to dark places and troubles that shouldn’t be stirred up.

Generation of Vipers is a mix of crimson peak and Mike Flanagan’s Haunting of Hill House, with elements of Marisha Pessl’s Night Film mixed throughout.

If you like dark thrillers that border on horror, gothic elements, and deliciously dark twists that will keep you guessing, then Generation of Vipers might be your next favorite book. It’ll keep you reading just one more page all night long, too afraid to turn out the light and go to sleep.

It appeals to lovers of suspenseful plots, all things dark like thrillers and horrors, stories with murder and mayhem, dark romance elements, fans of American Horror Story, Shirley Jackson, Gilian Flynn, Ruth Ware, Tana French, J.A. Konrath, and the Timothy Blake Series by Jack Heath.

Author Bio:

Maria, a badass USA Today and internationally bestselling indie author, lives in Minnesota despite the frozen winters. Actually, she prefers snow drifts and icicles over summer and all that sweat running everywhere. She writes about bitches, breakups, and bloodbaths – not in any particular order. She lives with her husband and little family, which includes a few lazy cats who make great lap warmers. You can usually find her whishing that she lived in a secret cabin in the woods where she could be a hermit reading and writing all of the time. Instead she lives the suburban life where she pretends to her neighbors and the other moms around that she doesn’t swear like a sailor, have hidden tattoos, and loves a good bottle of wine. She absolutely believes in unicorns and ghosts and hopes vampires and monsters are real too. She’s a coffee-in-the-morning and alcohol-in-the-evening kind of person, preferably with a nap in between. Maria prefers cats over dogs, books over people, and late nights over early mornings. She probably shouldn’t talk to anyone until she’s had her first cup of coffee, extra sugar. And if you ever want to hang out with her, you’ll have to be game for a horror movie or just a quick run to target for two (hundred) little things. Also, you couldn’t pay her to be in her twenties again; Thirties is where it’s at. She’s a creative, mouthy, introverted, proud bisexual, highly-sensitive INFJ, chronic pain spoonie warrior, Slytherpuff, dork with a sweet-tooth.

Maria devours books, reading mostly in bed or listening to audiobooks in the car. Writing has been one of her passions for pretty much her whole life. So creativity is a necessity for her, always. After working in the mental health field for almost a decade, she’s now living her dream as a stay-at-home writer, kiddo wrangler, professional snuggler, and constantly-tired-person. When it comes to her writing, she specializes in dark and twisted thrillers or gritty, angsty contemporary romances. But no matter the genre, she always prefers writing deeply flawed characters with dysfunctional relationships. She’s pretty sure the whole “unlikable character” thing is a conspiracy because every character she loves have been labeled this way. Ridiculous. And because of this, she’s pretty much found it impossible to write anything without at least a little mayhem.

Maria was once told she painted with her words, and that phrase stuck with her – because writing really is an art, and good stories are true masterpieces. She’s always trying to grow and improve in her craft, shooting for a masterpiece of her own someday. And she plans to write forever because writing gives Maria the ability to disappear into new worlds and create people within twisting plots, all from the comfort of her couch. She will always believe that though not every story is for her, and her stories aren’t for everyone, every story has a reader.

Chapter 1

The screams drew Rei’s attention. She stood at the steps of the boarded-up temple when the first one pierced the quiet of their small town. It came from the restaurant on the other side of the square.

She dashed down the stairs and onto the street, jumping inadvertently in front of a hover car whose driver honked and yelled. She didn’t listen as she rushed past the long-dead fountain, now filled with sand and earth. Gravel crunched beneath her feet as she approached the ever-growing crowd. Not a cloud dotted the clear blue sky, the sun beat down on them mercilessly, and the smell of sweat and dirt filled Rei’s nose. She pushed her small frame to the front to get a clear view, heart hammering in her chest. He had been threatening this for months, yet Rei prayed he wouldn’t actually go through with it, but disappointment pooled in her belly as her fear was confirmed.

“Drops of Jupiter,” someone muttered. “Why couldn’t the cleric give him a quick death? That poison takes too long.”

The boy lay writhing on the ground, blood running from his nose and ears, sand caking his dark hair. Rei turned to leave, blood pounding in her ears, but the crowd was now too thick around her and she couldn’t move.

“He prayed to false gods,” her neighbor, an elderly woman, said under her breath. “The cleric said this would be the fate of those who won’t worship the One True God.”

Ever since Earth voted to remain a part of the Dominion, the other gods were outlawed, despite the fact the holy city lay only a few hundred kilometers away from where Rei stood.

She fought to breathe as her heart raced. She never intended to convert, and the threat of not doing so had become too real.

The victim’s scream brought Rei’s eyes back to him. Folks said the poison fried the nerves, giving the victim the sensation of being electrocuted as the poison opened all the blood vessels in the head and caused blood to leak out of the nose and ears.

The cleric overseeing the execution sat in one of the outdoor tables of the restaurant, his dark eyes hard. His full lips turned down in a sneer at the poor soul in agony before him. It was a contrast to the cheerful, blue- and white-checkered umbrellas and table covers.

Rei’s stomach turned in knots. “Drops of Jupiter is a horrible way to die,” she whispered.

Eventually his writhing stopped, and the boy’s eyes stared at the heavens while his mouth opened in a silent scream.

“Let this be a lesson for those who still follow that blasphemous religion,” the cleric said. “The rest of you have until the end of the week to join the correct religion, or else.” He combed his fingers through sleek blonde hair before leaving. The crowd parted as he walked past, until he caught Rei watching him. She averted her gaze, kicking herself for attracting his attention.

She peered at her watch, trying to appear bored as the cleric approached her. The holographic hands reminded her she was running late, but she never ran from a fight. She pulled her dark hair up in a knot as she began to perspire. Her lips pressed together until there was nothing more than a line after the crowd dispersed and left the boy’s body on the ground.

“I hope you’re satisfied,” the cleric said. “His death is on your hands.”

Rei’s nails bit into her palm at the accusation. She wasn’t the one who decided which religion was the correct one and who should die for it. “Mine?” she growled.

“Yes, you and the others who so heinously turn your backs on the One True God.”

“Why are you so threatened by a boy who believes in many gods instead of one?” she asked, finally meeting his gaze.

“I am not threatened. The One True God wills it. The Dominion wills it.”

Rei’s legs grew weak, but she refused to back down as they locked eyes.

“And what of the will of the god queen?” she asked, standing a little straighter.

The cleric cackled. “She doesn’t exist and neither do those other false idols.”

“I believe she does.”

“You believe wrong.”

She rolled her eyes. They had been going back and forth like this for months. At first, Rei wanted to leave him be. She may not have agreed with his religion, but she respected his right to worship as he saw fit. But once he started trying to force his religion by boarding up the temple, bringing in Dominion soldiers to rough up locals who were caught worshiping during holy days, smashing the ceramic statues of the gods around town—including the one her brother bought for her—it became personal.

“I know you’re one of the reasons why many won’t follow the One True God.” His voice was dangerously low. “The people see you not converting, and they think they don’t have to either.”

“They shouldn’t have to.”

He crept closer to her, the smell of his cologne choking Rei. “You will convert. Even if I have to tie you down and perform the rite myself.”

Rei chuckled. “Tie me down? Kinky. Your threats don’t scare me. Try harder.” She spun on her heels and walked away, gritting her teeth. It took all of her willpower to not punch him in the throat.

“Remember you have a week,” he called. “A week until I make you the next example.”

She continued through the alley that opened to the two main roads intersecting at the center of town. She walked along the wall of the basilica of the One True God, where someone had decorated the outside with graffiti. The bright greens and blues contrasted against the pale earth-colored bricks.

Once she was sure the cleric hadn’t followed her, the adrenaline rushed from her legs and she leaned against the wall for support. Her heart pounded in her chest. She shouldn’t have allowed him to get so close.

“I wish someone would tie him down,” she muttered as she cut across the intersection, and one of the hover cars honked as she passed. She needed to get to the bar. It didn’t matter what the cleric threatened; he would never set foot in her place of business. She was safe there.

The cleric came into town shortly after the most recent elections and constantly flexed his powers, knowing he had the full weight of Dominion support behind him. She never bothered learning his name—that would have required humanizing him, and she wanted to do no such thing. Both religions had lived peacefully in the town of Ballarat for years. Rei didn’t understand why that had to change now. That wasn’t true. She knew it was a question of control. It was what the Dominion did best.

Rei wondered if she should go ahead and convert. The action would be hollow since she knew the gods existed. She knew they would return to save the star cluster—one had already been reborn.

She shook her head. If she gave into that monster’s demands, her influence would turn away more people from the gods. The idea fueled her anger and drove her to want to take action. No one should choose a religion based on what she did, anyway. People should believe what they wished.

Excerpt

My stomach roils, pondering who Mama’s mystery man is. Tanya and I are setting the fancy china on the table in the dining area. We normally only eat in this room on special occasions. Mama has given us specific instructions on setting up.

“Do you have any idea who Mama’s mystery man is?” Tanya raises her eyebrow.

“No clue. I can’t believe she’s inviting a man over for dinner. It must be serious if she wants us to meet him.” The doorbell rings.

“Guess we’re about to find out,” Tanya sighs.

“My company is here, and I expect both of you to be on your best behavior.” Mama fluffs out her hair before she sashays to open the door.

A tall, attractive man with caramel-colored skin enters. Mama loops her arm through his, walking him into the family room. Tanya shifts her weight. I suddenly find the floor more interesting. My blood’s boiling with her having the audacity to bring a strange man to our home when she’s barely been widowed for two months. If this is her grieving, why can’t she deal with it in another way? Other than running into the arms of a new man?

Mama’s honey-colored irises dance. “Girls, I want you to meet a good friend, Regan Jenkins. Regan, this is my older daughter, Tanya and my younger, Madison.”

“You mean, your boyfriend,” I blurt.

Mama narrows her eyes at me. I shrink away from her piercing gaze.

Regan’s lips curve up to the side. “It’s nice to meet you both.”

Tanya says hello, not louder than a whisper. I’m too irritated to speak, so I remain quiet.

“Let’s eat,” Mama announces, leading Regan to the dining room.

I push the food around my plate as Mama fills in the gaps about Regan. He’s into real estate—a broker with his own company. He lives in Houston, Texas, and they met while he was in town. Regan has been coming on the weekends to visit, which explains where she’s been.

The way Mama is fawning over Regan, you’d swear he was the Rock or Vin Diesel. The entire time I’m thinking, it’s too soon for you to be dating. Next week is only two months since your husband’s death. The little food I’ve eaten threatens to come up when I contemplate if she’s trying to replace my father. Why else would she flaunt her new man around like everything is peachy-keen?

Tanya has on a poker face. She smiles, pretending to be involved in the conversation. From her sarcastic comments, Tanya’s on the same page as me. She’s not happy about Mama dating, either.

Dinner seems to drag. I tune out Mama’s epic story about Regan. The only thing I’ve caught her saying in the last twenty minutes is that he has two sons my age and his wife died three years ago.

Regan’s plate is clean, so I offer to take it. Dish duty calls my name—anything to get away. I know Tanya has had her fill when she offers a hand. Tanya’s mouth is pulled into a tight line as we do the dishes. I’m washing and she’s loading the dishwasher.

After I glance in the dining room to make sure they’re still socializing, I say, “You still think she’s going through a phase?”

Tanya shrugs. “I hate to admit it, but it seems like she’s moved on.”

Elle

Stomp… stomp… stomp…

Another morning, another mob of enchanted humans are marching outside my apartment, shouting “Elle, Elle, we want Elle!”

Not a surprise.

Lately, supernatural stalkers have been drawn to me like subway rats to a dropped Egg McMuffin. No question why, either. It’s because I’m Magicorum, meaning I’m one of the lucky folks whose future is locked into a fairy tale life template. In my case, that’s Cinderella. Sadly, there’s a reason it’s called the Grimms’ Fairy Tales and not the Chipper Funtime Fables. When magic’s in the mix, stuff turns ugly. Humans become enchanted. Shouting is involved. I’m forced into odd footwear. You get the idea.

Not that I worry about it too much. I take my Cinderella-ness, kick it in the ass and call it a bitch. Boom.

Rolling over, I peep through the glass pane and scan the sidewalk below. Since my apartment is twenty stories up, I’ve got a perfect view. Sure enough, about thirty humans mill around the concrete. They aren’t alone.

She waits, too.

Skye.

And I’m the only one who can see her. A heavy sense of dread settles into my bones.

To me, Skye appears to be about my age—meaning eighteen—and she’s made of mist and magic. When solid, Skye resembles a sheriff from the Old West who has blonde hair, black chaps and a six shooter. When she’s hazy, Skye looks like…

A shiver runs across my shoulders. Can’t think about that now.

Sensing my attention, Skye locks onto my line of vision. I could look away, but that’d be admitting that Skye gets to me. Which she doesn’t. Mostly.

Hold her gaze, Elle.

Every morning, Skye finds a new and decidedly strange way to greet me. Today, she crosses her eyes while sticking out her tongue.

Gah. On second thought, maybe I should’ve looked away. This woman is nuttier than cashew pie.

I’ve found Lincoln. At last.

This is my chance. Sure, some crazy magic erased his memory, but this is Lincoln. My Lincoln. I’ll explain things to him. Afterward, we’ll fix this together. That’s how it’s always worked before.

Across the cavern, Lincoln scales up a climbing wall. A small group of younger guys in tunics and leather pants watch him move. This is a training session for the thrax nobility, just as I suspected.

So far, so good.

Lincoln clutches onto the wall with his right hand. Muscles strain in his face and body. All the while, my guy’s voice stays low and growly as he explains climbing stuff. In my mind, it’s a lot of blah blah blah ripped arms blah blah blah tight butt.

Did I mention that Lincoln is buck naked except for a pair of cargo pants? He is.

Here’s the problem. I’ve two inner demons—lust and wrath. And watching my guy right now? It makes my lusty side wakes up with a big HELL to the Oh.

What a disaster.

At this moment, I should be plotting on how to approach Lincoln. Instead, I can’t help but notice that single bead of sweat running down my guy’s abs… only to disappear into the waistline of his pants. My inner lust demon heats my blood with desire.

If I keep ogling my guy’s very yummy body, I’ll end up tackling him in front of everyone.

Which is a thought at that…

Only true love can free a captive heart.

Landon Jenks, retired four-time Golden Glove-winning shortstop for the Chicago Cubs, is lonely, heartbroken, and in desperate need of simple human contact. Trapped in the sticky fine print of an ironclad contract that forbids him from revealing his very-much-single status until the season finale of his reality show airs, he calls an elite male escort service that caters to the rich and wretched.

Accustomed to servicing his often less than savory clients at more upscale locales, twenty-six-year-old Toby Carmichael is surprised when his handler sends him to a run-down motel off I-55. But “surprise” doesn’t come close to describing the shock that rocks his system when a delightful stuttering mess covered in tattoos and nearly ten years his senior stumbles into the room—and right into his heart.

For the first time since Toby was forced into the life of prostitution, a kiss sparks a desire that has nothing to do with money and everything to do with genuine chemistry and the faintest beginnings of something so much more. But Toby’s dark past and troubled present make it impossible to see a future with Landon. And when the truth comes to light, a horrified and helpless Landon is determined to save Toby at all costs.

Content Warnings: Discussion of childhood verbal abuse by an adult survivor, homophobia from a close family member, discussion of previous self-harm/cutting behaviors by an adult survivor, prostitution with dubious consent (all interactions between the main characters have full consent and there are no on-page depictions of dub-con situations), consensual and experimental Domination/submission play between mostly-novice characters, mild violence between a main character and antagonist, and human trafficking associated with illegal drugs (nothing explicit on-page, only discussions related to and psychological/mental ramifications of addressed in moderate detail).

Excerpt

Toby closed his eyes to center himself. He needed to get his head on straight before the client arrived. They expected cocky confidence they could control with their wallet, not a preoccupied mess.

A key jostled in the lock, and Toby cursed under his breath. It was showtime.

He ran a hand through his hair and another down the front of his navy fleece vest. The client had requested casual attire, so he wore a pair of worn and comfortable jeans from his personal collection. They were hardly the designer level Joseph preferred him in, but it was the best he could do with what he had to work with.

Toby plastered on his practiced “sexy” grin and cocked a hip on the corner of the desk. When the client turned the knob and the door swung inward, he prepared himself for the worst.

But instead of another litany of horrors he’d grown to expect, Toby locked eyes with those beautiful gray pools that had haunted his thoughts for so many weeks.

Toby’s smile fell as his jaw dropped. At the same time, Landon’s face lit up with the brightest grin to ever cross those stunning features in Toby’s presence. He hip-bumped the door closed and strolled into the room with a confidence that hadn’t been there during their last meeting. He walked right up to Toby, cupped his jaw with both hands, and crushed their mouths together with a ferocity that drew a whimper up the back of Toby’s throat.

Without hesitation, Toby levered off the desk, wrapped his arms around Landon’s torso, and pulled their bodies flush. When their dicks collided through a dual layer of denim, Toby’s already thickening cock strained toward the hard heat of Landon’s. He rolled his hips, grinding into Landon with a wanton need he hadn’t felt since the last time he’d been in his arms.

When the need for air forced them apart, Landon clutched at Toby’s shoulders as he tried to pull away. “Don’t, please. God, I know this is crazy, but I… just don’t. Not yet.”

Toby nodded against Landon’s neck, sucking ragged breaths into his lungs. He didn’t want to let go any more than Landon did. It was crazy, but he felt it too. Whatever it was.

Eventually, Landon threaded his fingers through the hair at Toby’s nape and brushed a gentle kiss over his temple. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done this. I just… fuck… I wanted to see you again, and I…”

Toby pulled away enough to match his gaze with Landon’s without losing the connection between their bodies. “Don’t apologize.” He smiled and shook his head. “This was one hell of a nice surprise.”

The truth of it was, if Toby could have, he would’ve reached out to Landon himself. But Joseph would never permit him to contact a client directly, and certainly not for a personal reason.

“I thought maybe we could do something. You know, go out.” Landon’s face crimsoned, and his eyes fell away. “I mean, I’ll obviously still pay for your time, but it doesn’t have to be about that. About, ah, about sex. I… I wanted to see you. Not, you know, I mean…” He cringed away from his own words. “I guess I was hoping we could spend some time together. Like, you know… kind of like a date.”

Toby’s chest squeezed. He couldn’t remember the last time anyone had wanted to spend time with him not his ass. He planted a kiss on the tip of Landon’s nose. “I’m not allowed to leave the agreed-upon location unless I clear it first, and that gets complicated sometimes. Do you mind if we stay here?”

Landon’s stare shifted to Toby’s, and his brows drew together. “Not allowed?”

“It’s a safety thing.” Toby cleared his throat and forced an easy smile. “My handler keeps tabs on where I’m at, at all times, in case anything gets out of hand. Makes it easier to get away if I need to.”

“Oh. Yeah. Makes sense.” Landon toyed with Toby’s hair for a moment. “Well, it still doesn’t have to be about… that. Um, maybe we could rent a movie this time or… or something? Order a pizza maybe? Or Chinese again? Or I could get take-out if there’s something else you’d rather have. Ah, maybe grab some beers or something too while I’m out?”

A grin pulled at Toby’s lips. A movie, some beers, and greasy cheat food with a hot guy who demanded nothing more from him than his company? That sounded like the best Thursday night plans he’d had since… well, since long before Joseph came into his life. “Pizza sounds amazing, but I wouldn’t turn my nose up at a beer or two, either. There’s a carryout next door. Why don’t we order some pizza, and I’ll come with you to pick up the beer while we wait for it to be delivered?”

Landon nodded and licked his lips, his gaze drifting to rest on Toby’s mouth. “I know I said it wasn’t about, you know, anything like that, but… Can I kiss you again? One more time? Then I promise, hands off the entire—”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Toby slanted his lips over Landon’s, dipping into the warmth of his mouth and moaning when their tongues collided. Landon’s grip on the back of Toby’s hair tightened and a whimper of his own drifted into the air.

Landon might be offering a pressure-free night—one where Toby could make believe he was a normal guy, on a normal date—but that didn’t mean nothing would happen. It meant whatever did happen would be by Toby’s choice, because he wanted it to, and because Landon wanted it to.

And didn’t that sound like one hell of a perfect date?
