Falan isn’t used to chasing imps out of old lady’s yards or getting rid of demons, but there is something about this witch that makes him unable to resist. For the first time in a very long time he wants to help out the witch that summoned him and he's actually having fun. 

 Looking for a fabulous fantasy that you can read quickly? Summoning the Demon by Kelly D. Smith is that short story for you. This read goes back and forth between Alyssa’s view, a young witch out to save us all from zombies and Falan, a hot looking demon who’s going to help our hero kick butt. I like that we have a young female lead who is a fighter and even though she needs help due to numbers not being in her favor she doesn’t need a man to save her. If I knew being a witch would mean I can summon hot guys who like to read I might join a group. 

Kelly’s story is set in real world time with paranormal activity happening around us. Her scenes are realistic and make you feel like you are part of the fight getting zombie goo flung on you as well and wanting to search for imps in your backyard. I was sad when it ended. Who ends with a steamy love scene? I wanted more for sure. Do they live happily ever after kicking zombie butt?  I will read this series in a heartbeat. Keep them short and fun but continue on. 

Summoning the Demon by Kelly D. Smith is a paranormal romance short story. Alyssa, the witch, needing help to fight of the walking dead, summons a demon to assist her. Enter Falan, and the fun begins.

This was a lovely and quirky short with great characters and a fun storyline. I could see it being developed into a larger read, or series. The chemistry between the two is electric, and the ideology of netherworld beings is a wonderful change to what we commonly think of when reading about demons.
