adventure? Then check out Nightwish by Sydney Bristow. This story had some
laugh out loud moments. I loved the realism and the use of contemporary influences.
Yes, there are witches, demons and vamps, oh my, but the conversations seemed
like conversations I would have with friends if I was finding out all of this
was real, which her friends took it
really well finding out she was a witch.
The conversations between Serena and
Darius made me think of the movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer with the sarcastic
comments from the young girl and the always serious older man. Come to think of
it, there were several similarities to Buffy. Serena’s two friends jump in, wanting
to help and ready to fight by her side. I liked Buffy, the movie and the TV
show, so if you enjoyed those then you are going to like this book.
A few
things were predictable but overall it was well written and a good adventure.
