Winds of Fear follows Abbie Rambally, and how her past is catching up to her. Having fallen in love and then having a child with the wrong man has had her looking over her shoulder ever since. Now she has a new life, adored by her husband with whom she's had two more kids. Life seems to be going well until the new neighbors show up. Strange things begin to happen, and when her oldest son is taken, she must look to her past to help her discover where to find him.
Now, I had some issues with the book going back and forth between first-person and third-person It starts off switching every chapter then becomes random. Not my favorite, but the storyline itself was interesting enough to keep me reading. There were two chapters that go back to the past that I felt were not needed and pulled me from the read, but Kabongo keeps you interested in the mystery of what will happen next. As a mom myself, I could feel the pain of a child being taken through the character. There are some emotional moments that could be triggering.
