5 Stars

This is a great read. Make sure that you read the warning before you start reading! The epilogue had me feeling sick, I wanted to throw up because of it. It was hard to read, not because of the writing, but because of the sexual abuse Ryan went through at the hands of his Uncle. This book is well written, even with the abuse in it.

Ryan is a Sargent Major in the Army. He was enlisted at the age of 16 by his mom. He was acting out so bad and she didn't know the real reason behind why he was. The Army save him, but didn't heal him. The demons have never left him. "He" has never left him. Ryan still struggles with this and has come close to suicide just so it all ends. He does have flashbacks throughout the book, and they aren't pretty.

He is also struggling with feelings towards his best friend, Mason.

Who knew that finding out about Mason's D/s relationship with Master Stella, and Ryan letting Stella teach him, would be what he needs to get rid of those demons.

This isn't a pretty story, but this is how Ryan moved forward and let go of those demons, and healed. He finally knows his worth. All thanks to Master Stella.

This book had me tearing up with the prologue and flashback scenes. But the story is great. Just remember the warning.

Author Bio

**Bound by custom or unique by choice.**

There's something about the written word that's pure magic.

Possibly it's the fact that there are 26 letters in the English alphabet, and they can create something so beautiful or so empowering that they're able to change our lives.

How important is it that we break suit and stretch our minds?

I like to think of myself as 'unique'. My stories aren't for everyone, and sometimes I may push what you believe to be 'normal'.

Normal is subjective.

I prefer to be known as a person who's never been 'bound by custom' but is 'unique by choice'.

Until next time
