Review: Surviving Harmony by A.F. Diamond

The author…

Aislin Somers walks through life haunted by the monsters of a past she can’t escape. For twelve years she has shut herself off from the real world, but her rising success as an author forces her into the spotlight where she’ll have to face her fears. Will shedding her anonymity and stepping out of the shadows allow a New Monster to find a way to her doorstep?

The actor…

Taylor Mandrake is a rising star. Often spotted with several of Hollywood’s sexiest starlets, he’s developed a reputation as a bit of a playboy—willing to share his bed but never his heart. Until he meets her.

He’s everything she could ever want.
Charming.
Sexy.
Smart.
Gentle.
Affectionate.
Understanding.
Loving.
Passionate.

However, his past may be all it takes to convince Aislin that he can’t be trusted with her fragile heart.

When these two guarded souls come together, will they be able to survive the monsters of their pasts in order to embrace the love of their future?

This is a contemporary romance set in Harmony, Nebraska, as well as some of Los Angeles, California, and is told in the first person narrative by new author A.F. Diamond. Even though she is new, she is a fabulous writer.

This book was very well writtenand I look forward to reading more from this author and more of this story. This story is a very deep one with jealousy and hate and how they can affect so many lives and how love is color blind. This story has racism, mystery, intrigue, suspense, fear, humor, and love.

All in all it was a great read it kept me hooked until the end, and it was longer than what I expected. For some reason, I had it timed that I could read it in one night, but it ended being two because I fell asleep reading it on the first night from exhaustion,  not boredom.

It was well worth the time.
