Review: Skylar's Dream by Caissy Boudreau

Skylar's Dream (Dream Series, #1)

Three friends embark on a journey that will forever change not only the world, but everything they have ever known. Will they succeed or will all be lost?
Skylar lives in a small town with her best friend, Rhiannon, and her best friend's brother, Blaze. The three have been inseparable for most of their lives, but everything is about to change. But one thing remains constant for the beautiful Skylar...she has loved Blaze for as long as she can remember. Fear is the only thing that stands between her and the man that has held her heart for her whole life. Dreams of a happily ever after with the man of her dreams pale in comparison to what awaits Skylar while she sleeps. Dark angels hell bent on destroying her world, cause this vital young woman to doubt her very sanity. Frightened by the images that follow her every night, Skylar finds her friends are all she has left.
Can these three brave friends fight forces beyond their imagination to save all they've ever known?

Great debut novel by Caissy. I found it to be very easy to get into and the characters are all very likeable. The story line and plot had me hooked. The ending left me wanting more, which is always a good thing. It does end in a cliffhanger, but I like cliff hangers, so that doesn't bother me at all.

Skylar is a 20 yr old woman, who has been through a lot. And now, she is the only one that can save the world from the Dark Angels. Along with her friends and their powers, will she be able to defeat them?

There are also love stories and romance in this book also. Can't wait to read the next one in this series. I was nice to read something different from the every day "normal" paranormal reads.

Skylar's Dream is a paranormal romance that takes place in a small town, it's told in the first person narration in the present day. Caissy Boudreau is a new author who has a lot of potential.
The general plot is that Skylar one day finds out that she has powers and so do her friends, then she finds out God has a plan for them. There is some action, a little suspense, and the love scenes are very romantic.
I loved that fact that they'd been in love most of their lives.
I did like this book it had a good plot and interesting characters. I enjoyed the story. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
