I will read anything and everything that Bella Jewel
writes. I didn't jump on this
step-sibling craze that's going on right now.
But I had to sign up for this one.
And I'm so glad that I did! It's
another great one by Bella Jewel.
This book had my heart hurting at the beginning. What Aria and her mom, Nancy, went
through. Wow, just wow. i really felt for them.
Eleven years later and Nancy has gotten remarried to
Jack. Jack has three sons, but the
families haven't meet yet. When they do,
Aria sees her mystery man!
Their story starts a year earlier and happened over a
fantastic weekend. They said no names,
and then he was gone. She tried to move
on and past him, but there was a connection and she just couldn't stop thinking
about him.
The three boys are:
Bladen "Blade", Broderick "Brody", and Ripley
"Lee".
"I'm in love with my step-brother, and there's nothing
I can do about it."
Blade runs so hot and cold.
It's a constant push and pull.
With both Aria and Blade fighting their feelings and trying to move on.
"Fuck, you got under my skin. Every time I saw you, I wanted you more. That night, it shouldn't have happened, but I
couldn't stop...I wanted you so fucking badly.
I knew after, I knew I had to walk.
If I didn't I would have never stepped away from you, and we both know
how that would have ended."
I really enjoyed all these characters. I love all three of the brothers. I just want to give Ripley and Brody both
hugs. Blade, I wanted to kick his ass
most of the book! But he did redeem
himself.
Nancy gives the best advice and she is a great mom!
"Life is a whole lot of what ifs honey, but I've
learned that things can happen when you least expect them and those things can
turn your life around in one day, one hour, or one damned second. What ifs mean nothing to me. Something could happen tomorrow, or it could
last the rest of your life. Live for the
moment and live for you heart, not everyone else's."
I can't wait for Brody's story next. This is an awesome read and I know Brody's
will be also!
